Moushumi Chatterjee’s Daughter Payal’s Death: ‘It’s A Big Shock To Me, I Have Lost A Dear Friend,’ Says Amit Behl- EXCLUSIVE
The sad demise of Moushumi Chatterjee's daughter Payal has shocked everyone. Amit Behl, CINTAA Secretary has also expressed his grief as he speaks exclusively with SpotboyE.com
This morning, we woke up the sad news of veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee’s daughter Payal Sinha’s demise. She breathed her last at 2 am last night. Payal was 45 and was suffering from Type 1 Diabetes.
Her death has shocked her near and dear ones. Amit Behl, the Senior Joint Secretary of CINTAA (Cine Artistes and TV Association) is also very upset by this news. Speaking exclusively to SpotboyE.com, Behl said, “It’s a big shock to me as I have lost a dear friend.”
Amit says that he knew Payal almost from the time he began his career. “I remember interacting with her when she was working for Sony. Payal was a very happy and bubbly girl.”
FYI, Moushumi Chatterjee and husband Jayanta Mukherje went through a courtroom battle against Payal’s husband Dicky Sinha and her in-laws. They had filed an appeal at the Bombay High Court seeking their daughter’s custody. They accused Dicky and his family of neglecting their daughter’s health. They also stated that they didn’t tend to Payal’s medical expenses and prevented her granddaughter from meeting her.
We also asked Amit Behl if Payal had ever discussed her marital issues with him to which he said, “No, she did not. But, I knew that she was unwell since the past 2 years.”
Payal had married businessman Dicky Sinha in 2010. She was in a comatose state since two-and-half years. Our heartfelt condolences to Payal’s family.
